    • Implement BOLA testing by attempting to access resources using IDs belonging to other users — the single most common and most dangerous API vulnerability
    • Test authentication flows exhaustively: token expiration enforcement, refresh token rotation, concurrent session limits, password reset token single-use enforcement, and brute force protection

  4. Security Scan — Once the API is functionally complete, the Security Tester runs the automated security suite: BOLA checks, injection fuzzing, authentication boundary tests, and OWASP compliance verification. Critical findings block the release.
